Aims and Objectives of ASI

  1. To improve access to basic health care services to disadvantaged elderly people in The Gambia 
  2.  To promote the re-integration of the elderly in Gambian social life
  3.  To promote inter generational dialogue
  4.  To advocate for the rights of the elderly in The Gambia.

To achieve the above objectives, ASI implements a range of activities  and interventions under six programme areas that are implemented by a dedicated team of members and volunteers drawn from different professional backgrounds.
